ECO HOLIDAY LETS
Artfully Handcrafted and sustainable
We offer a variety of unique accommodation full of character that provide comfortable stays in ecologically friendly settings. From a wind powered stone cottage, to hand crafted shepherds huts and the romantic Hobley House, all of our guests have a base from which they can experience the Shrophire Hills either by cycling, walking, or simply by resting, relaxing, and enjoying the views on our beautiful farm. All of our guests have the opportunity to purchase our organic meat directly from the family at the farm, perfect for bar-b-ques and cooked breakfasts.
We offer all paying guests staying in our holiday lets a bespoke education experience. We also show our animals, and during one hour, the guest will have the chance to interact with lovely lambs/sheep, alpacas, pigs, caws, dogs, cats, and ducks. It costs £30 for a couple and £10 for any additional adult or child.
For those who need transport to come to us, we offer a pick-up and drop-off service to and from Craven Arms & Newtown for those travelling to us on public transport (£30 each way—this is cheaper than using local taxi companies).
JOE THE BUCK ECO COTTAGE
The Eco-cottage Joe the Buck offers the perfect place to relax, to enjoy the breathtaking views and unwind or, if feeling more active, there is ample opportunity to explore the local countryside and wildlife.
The cottage is located within its own grounds on the farm, in beautiful South Shropshire and is the ideal holiday location to reduce your carbon footprint whilst taking in the landscape and experiencing organic hill farming.
The Joe the Buck has been carefully renovated to a high standard, using local materials, both to retain its traditional characteristics but also to fully accommodate modern Eco-friendly design principles as well as ensuring long-term sustainable use of the building.
SHEPHERD HUTS
We have 2 delightful Shepherd’s Huts overlooking the valley and our pond. Each hut offers a double bed for 2 adults with a single bunk bed above where a child up to 10 years old can sleep.
Each hut has a log burner and private toilet with a sink – there is a shared shower room which is accessed by guests of both huts (this is cleaned daily when both huts are occupied)
. Your private fully equipped kitchen sits right next to the hut and includes a fridge, icebox, oven/grill, and hob.
Whether staying in Cornflower or Foxglove, guests all have their own private garden to bar-b-que, relax and take in the sounds of the birds and the sight of the Shropshire sky.
Additional Extras – all guests can request to purchase either a farm tour exploring the land and learning about organic farming practices and / or a practical session working with our animals and tending the vegetable growing garden. Tasks vary depending upon the time of year and specific options according to your interest and the season can be discussed with us. See prices section for costs.
