Beavers Experience
The Clun Valley Organic Farm, specifically Brynmawr Farm, nestled in the Shropshire hills, has made a significant stride in ecological restoration by becoming the first farm in the region to receive a license for wild beaver release. This initiative marks a pivotal moment, aligning with the farm's longstanding commitment to harmonious coexistence with nature. The release of beavers, renowned "ecosystem engineers," is set to revitalize the local ecosystem, mirroring the broader understanding of beavers' crucial role in enhancing biodiversity and water resource management.
Brynmawr Farm, operated by the Wheeler family, is a testament to sustainable agriculture. As a mixed livestock organic farm, they prioritize food production that fosters wildlife richness while yielding quality meat products. The farm's participation in a stewardship scheme, coupled with its close collaboration with the Shropshire Wildlife Trust, underscores its dedication to environmental stewardship.
